once a fan, always a fan
November 3, 2009
of Backstreet Boys, that is!!!!
oh my gosh… have you heard their latest single, Bigger?? it is so good!!! and i love the video shot in Japan, too.
anyways, sharing it here with you guys (i feel 12 again…. that’s when the BSB heat wave struck the globe)
here’s the lyrics:
First off I cant keep a promise
I’m no one to count on at all
Add on that I’m a coward
To scared to return your callsChorus :
But you don’t care
You keep sticking around
While I’m acting a clown
You’re bigger
Lalala
Cuz you’re still here
Your feet stuck to the ground
Despite how silly it sounds
You’re bigger
Than me
LalalaIts known that I’m a liar
Often I’m blacker than white
Add on my uncanny ego
No ones less humbled than IChorus:
But you don’t care
You keep sticking around
While I’m acting a clown
You’re bigger
Lalala
Cuz you’re still here
Your feet stuck to the ground
Despite how silly it sounds
You’re bigger
Than me
LalalaAll the messed up things I do
Yeah I swear I’ll make’em up to you
Before you’re going heaven knows
Just let me make it better
I’ll try to measure up
I’ll try to measure up to youI’ll make it up to you
Chorus :
But you don’t care
You keep sticking around
While I’m acting a clown
You’re bigger
Lalala
Cuz you’re still here
Your feet stuck to the ground
Despite how silly it sounds
You’re bigger
Than me
Lalala

holiday
September 22, 2009
today is perhaps my last day of freedom before hauling myself to work tomorrow. and tomorrow, is going to be a new beginning. but let us leave tomorrow for tomorrow, and concentrate on what today has in-store for us.
nothing much on today’s agenda, just some leisure time i suppose. in fact, i would very much like to talk about yesterday. particularly the movie that we watched. it had to be the worst movie ever, and to make matter worse, it’s not a new movie that GSC is showing and making money of. it’s an old movie shot more than 10 years ago starring Leslie Cheung. come on. that dude’s been dead for ages!!!!! how can they actually sell us tickets at RM11 for a movie that’s old and impossible to enjoy or even understand? it was totally different from what we had in mind, and we were utterly disappointed.
but of course, we manage to squeeze in laughs after the show at our stupidity for choosing the wrong show and how ridiculous it is to have made money out of old show. albeit the horrendous movie, day is a good one tho.
so i’m keeping fingers crossed that it shall be a better day today without wrong movie choices.
down south
September 6, 2009
so my 8 days trip down under has officially end, and that tomorrow’s back to work day.
this time heading down south was the first for me. my first vacation in 28 months since 2007, and of course this was my first ever stepping foot on the land down under.
the experience was great, especially the trip down south…. road trips are always welcoming and i love being able to drop by different cities along the highway and taking in different beauties that each city has to offer. and
of course, the highlight of the trip is none other than the availability on getting a breather, just so one can relax and chill. but i must say, kangaroos and koalas and alpacas just put a huge smile on my face, too. don’t have the photos with them animals, but if i do get them, i’ll post it up.
overall, i had fun. apart from the exchange rate and the strong wind down south and the fact that their shops close at 5 pm daily, everything is lovely. i had a great time visiting perth and the rest of the cities, and of course i have a great time meeting new acquaintances, too.
anyways, here’s one of my favorite photo that i took using my compact camera:

counting the hours
August 28, 2009
it’s merely hours away from my long awaited break.
i can’t wait!!! and i’m uber excited.
down under, here i come
and, oh, that means no daily updates for perhaps 8 to 10 days… well unless i get internet and computer access there. till then, enjoy your merdeka day celebration people
after 2 n half years
August 22, 2009
or perhaps closer to three years of non baking, i’ve resumed the passion of mine…
maybe this time round, it ain’t exactly baking, but it’s a cake, nonetheless. well, remember the chocolate fudge cake that i was contemplating the other time?? well, i’ve finally made it, and it turned out to be quite a success. not too bad, actually, having attempting a chilled cake for the very first time, and the touch is still there though there was a pause of 3 years of doing anything cake related (apart from eating)
here’s some pictures to share with all of you:

still in the pan

side view
the execution of presentation ain’t there yet, somehow it’s a little wet than i’d like, and cutting it into perfect beauty is a skill that i am yet to master. but nevertheless, whilst there are still room for improvement, i’m giving myself a pat at the shoulder for a cake will done
rocking the canon in d
August 14, 2009
if u love rock music, this is for you.
matt rach rocking the canon in d, and i have to say, this is the BEST rock version of canon in d that i’ve ever heard (sorry jerry c, you lost, though you’re equally good)
his fingers were running crazy over the fret board and the whole improvisation is better than awesome!!! gosh… he just got himself another fan, and yes, i just became a fan of his on facebook.
p/s: he’s only 18 this year!!!! such musical genius
what i’ve done
July 19, 2009
it’s a full day today.. like so full, i just managed to sit down and my hair’s dripping wet.
so my itinerary of the day was somewhat normal, yet slightly different from my usual sundays. get what i mean?? well, never mind that. i’ll just break it down to you…
very simply, the morning started off with me running late for church. i mean, what’s new? i need to seriously break this habit, cause even when i woke up early, i ended up late. what is wrong with me??? never mind. that’s beside the point.
point is, after church, i head downtown with the girls for some dim sum lunch in lieu of a birthday celebration. dim sum from dynasty hotel was okay, in my humble opinion. it wasn’t all that great, but not too shabby, either.
and after lunch, which was round 3.30 pm, i last minute scrapped my evening walk and opted for a day out with my darling puiboon… hehe… she was up for a day out, and i sportingly wanted to tag along… so off we went to the curve.
spent the entire afternoon there, and then walked over to ikea for dinner, and boy, my cravings was satisfied. i finally had my swedish meatballs with cranberry sauce. oh my gosh. i love cranberry sauce. i love, love, love cranberry sauce.
the loitering at the area was a welcoming one, since i haven’t been to that area for quite some time. yeah.. blame it on my laziness to drive that far up to curve. i know, to some of you it’s not that far… but when u’re a lazy bum who wished to be chauffered, it’s far.
okay…. anyways, the day continues as i got home. instead of hitting the shower, i straight away got myself engaged in some heavy duty clean sweeping. overhauled the room, rearranged the little pieces of furniture i had… 2 and half hours well spent. i was all sweaty and icky and dirty…. and when i finally showered at 10.50 pm and managed to sat my bum here, i feel so, erm… so… what’s the word??
can’t seem to find the word.. it slipped out of my mind. but i felt as though today was very much well spent. and now, if got 45 mins left to enjoy sunday… and i foresee myself a very good night sleep tonight
ah… i feel good… after a heavy duty cleaning session, and of course i feel great hanging out with people i love. after all, some girl time and girl talk is what i always love
st. dennis street
July 2, 2009
this is st. dennis street, or at least a fracture of it (sorry lar, lousy phototaking skill, can only take what my eyes can see)

st dennis street during christmas
it was christmas eve when the bunch of us walked down this street, and then walked back up again. we were all looking for just one thing: a nice hang out place. since all of us rode all the way from fredericton to montreal, we really want to celebrate christmas differently.
and by different, i meant getting wasted. there weren’t many pubs opened during the night before christmas. and we girls are not heading down st. catherine’s street for the infamous tiger show and striptease. so, st. dennis it is.
and we finally found ONE bar that is opened:

the pub.. taken whilst sober
and as fate had it, i was konked out that night. more than tipsy, more than high. my world was spinning and i couldn’t walk straight. and my point is? i miss the fun days i had when i was still studying my butt off.
one word
June 26, 2009
just one word to surmise Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. okay, make it two words: PLAIN AWESOME!!
two and half hours packed with actions and humour, and some touching moments, this movie did not fail moi. in fact, i laughed so hard my tummy aches. well, the stomach ache is of another reason, too, but that is all another matter.
truth behold, though there are some parts of the movies that are yet to be answered (such as some unexplained disappearances of certain characters), all in all, it is a must watch. definitely this summer’s blockbuster.
it is so good, i don’t mind paying another 10 bucks just to watch it. wait, let’s make it 7 bucks for wednesday. i’m a cheapo and i can’t afford extra splurging, and you know, saving 3 bucks is saving 3 extra bucks. but this show is seriously good. it’s awesome, way better than the first.
and i must say this. foxy’s acting ain’t great, but damn she’s hot. oh, and the decepticon chick is hot, too.
oh, and to add, i had great company, too. hung out with high school mates, of two whom i haven’t met in 8 years (time flies, and you guys didn’t change a bit!!!), and another two whom i always bug and be their lightbulb. anyways, seriously, we should hang out more often. brings back old memory, and hey dudes, i’m still using the garfield mug you guys bought me for my 16th birthday, okay!! so durian is on for tomorrow night!!!
