the mermaid and the lion
December 17, 2009
when the lion mates with the mermaid, you undoubtedly get a merlion…. and i’m supposed to be there, stomping the grounds of the land of the merlion….
too bad i’m still rolling in mud here at mud city. it just doesn’t cut it. it’s supposed to be my christmas break, and i’m supposed to be shopping my heads off at their holidays sales…. and here i am, stuck in mud and running low on dough…..
it sucks to be poor… and with lots of work… and no leave to clear…. oh well, next year will be better.
i’ll aim for the mid-year sale then.. so june 2010 (ample time to save up), singapore, here i come. i pwormise.
the ultimate question and answer
November 11, 2009
question: why am i a shopaholic?
wait… make the question why am i a bag obsessed person?
but come to think about it… i adore shoes as much as i love bags… and not to mention dresses…
oh scrap it.. whatever the question is, i don’t think i can find the answer… it’s best that i don’t find no answer…. hahaha… remaining anonymous and clueless is sometimes the best ever solution to an issue
i want this for my birthday!!
May 6, 2009
dear generous person,
hi. i am self professed bag addict. and i fell in love with this etienne aigner’s crossbody. however, as i am so poor now, i can’t afford this gorgeous human creation even though it’s only RM250 (inclusive of shipping). so as desperate as i am, i am pledging good and generous souls out there to donate this bag to me as a birthday gift.
for your reference, i have attached a photo of the said bag together with the website that sell this bag so that you will be able to buy it for me off the net.
as i am against plagiarism, i borrowed this photo from http://broughtwithlove.blogspot.com/2009/03/etienne-aigner-oxford-blue-stripe.html
okay… that is just a joke okay, i don’t mean to beg for that bag. i just officially let the world know that i want that for my birthday so somebody can do something about it (and fast cause there’s only one last piece left!!!) *ahem*
haihs… life sucks when you’re a shopaholic low on dough…
almost a shopaholic
May 5, 2009
i’m not quite there yet, but almost there.
so i was supposed to attend a make up class last night held at my usual spa. but i bailed out in the last minute cause it suddenly dawned on me that i have to pay RM188 for products that i might not use.
i know 188 for the 3-piece product is a steal cause the foundation alone cost more than the 188 that i had to pay if i were to attend the class. BUT (yes, there is the infamous but) i’ve already got my foundation (the exact same which is included in the 188 package) which i barely use, and i am allergic to lipsticks… so the only usable products would be the eye color, which i don’t quite like their color palettes. so yeah. i gave myself a pat at the back and praised myself for being money wise and not splurge that 188.
and on top of that, i knew i had to grab a pair of shoes for the coming event, hence there’s another 70 bucks to spend on so if i spend the 188 on top of the 70 bucks shoes, i’ll end up paying more… plus i need to get some other stuff as well, you know like accessories and what not….
anyways.. back to the story…. so yeah, i went to Jusco Maluri (where else?? this is like the most convenient “mall” on my way home) and scout for my shoes. finally found one at vincci for RM52, which is lower than my proposed budget
you can see angels with harp hailing hallelujah when i made my payment for the pair of adorable shoes.
anyways, since it was early, i walked around for a bit (to be more precise, rounding the cosmetics counters) and made my final stop at shiseido.
to cut the story short, i sat there at the counter for a free make up class (basically just get her to paint my eyelids and while she is painting ask some nonsensal questions). at first i thought i’d walk away with purpled eyes and not pay anything, BUT (the infamous but again) i ended up paying RM110 for a mascara and a concealer ……
wait. before you stone me to death, let me justify.
she’s giving me a 50% off (must bold the 50% for dramatic effect, like how the mascara dramatized your eyelashes) for the mascara. so the mascara is like RM40 only!!!!! so its a steal!!! it’s a friggin steal okay!!! you don’t get to pay 40 bucks for mascara… even body shop’s cost more… and l’oreal’s about that price too…. so 40 bucks is CHEAP for a shiseido mascara, ok??!! and i do use mascara, i mean yeah once in a blue moon, but i still use it.
as for the concealer. can you not see how panda-ish my eyes are?? need i explain more?? concealers are magic wands that make those panda eyes disappear for up to 12 hours. okay i’m done here.
after paying them cosmetics, i then (yes there is more.. but not much more) walked up to the upper level, cause i need to pick my car and drive away. i walked past watson’s. and then i reverse and walked back into watson’s. and then i walked straight to the cosmetic section. and then i saw the mineral foundation. and then i bought it cause the shiseido’s make up artist told me that i must always pair liquid foundation with either a 2 way cake or powder foundation. so wanting to look gorgeous i bought revlon’s mineral foundation for 58.90 …..
so in total.. i spent 168.90 for cosmetics, which is 19.10 under the initial 188, and 52 for shoes, which is 18 bucks under budget…. so, i should be happy, right??? right??? errr.. somebody give me some love please???
randomosity
April 28, 2009
i’m feeling very blah right now. nothing good or bad or exciting or even interesting happened today. well, the only happening thing that happened is we drove all the way to ampang for yong tau fu.that shows how boring my life is.
and now, i really feel like skipping work and go shopping =S i know…. you guys are probably shaking your heads and letting out a disappointing sigh and whisper under your breath: this girl and her shopping addiction, tsk tsk tsk… hopeless and helpless *shakes head*…. but it’s a tough addiction to kick okay… plus i really haven’t been shopping since….. since… since… chinese new year, and hey, that’s a LONG time okay…. and there really is such thing called retail therapy.
but as much as i want to put my hands on Anya Hindmarch’s canvas tote, i can’t… this month i’d be horribly tight on budget. i’ve got to restock my moisturizer and my toner (gonna cost me a bomb, shucks) and have to have my car serviced. ARRRGGHHH!!!! can you see my money grew wings and flew off???
*sigh* i’m feeling very lousy now… someone come cheer me up please…..
anyways, this is a lousy entry… by the end of this post, i suppose i’m feeling even lousier… money is the root of all evil depression.
what a day
April 14, 2009
apart from being a tuesday, and the day where taman pertama holds its weekly pasar malam that partly contributes to KL’s terrible traffic congestion, it is also a rainy day.
but it wasn’t raining when i head out for my appointment at the place where it used to be tallest standing building in the world. so ungeared with a brolly, i head out when the sun’s up high.
and as i was walking down the street, the ornamental flower on my left shoe started getting flimsier and flimsier… it was obvious that it will fall off any moment. a tad irritated by the sight of an unsightly shoe, i walked into the shopping mall, head straight down to vincci and started scouting for a pair of decent looking shoes that will compliment my outfit.
well, i wasn’t exactly in a mood for shoe shopping cause i am running late for the said appointment, so i just browse through all the shoes they have there, and chose a pair of cutesy ballet flats. that has to be the briefest shoe shopping i had ever done. so i spent 44 bucks for the emergency (wardrobe malfunction IS an emergency) within 10 minutes.
and that wasn’t all. after the appointment, it was pouring cats and dogs outside…. lousy day for me, eh?? since i had to get back to the office, i will need an umbrella. so again, i had to spend another 19 bucks for a brolly, another expenditure for an emergency.
oh well, i guess we all will have one of this off days once a blue moon. come to think about it, i add another pair of shoes to my shoe collection, and another umbrella to my brolly collection, too.
carry-ons
April 9, 2009
as any one around me will maybe vaguely notice, i have only one fetish. i love bags. (okay fine, i have a shoe fetish, too).
so, today i’m going to make a short post on the bags i own. i don’t have a lot. just a couple. i mean sure, i do love having lots of handbags, but then i don’t have the cash to buy all of the ones i love. cause if i do, i’ll have to file for bankruptcy.
anyways, just to share with you, here’s some bags that i own:

so those are the bigger ones that you will see on my shoulder most days. and here are some smaller ones that i don’t carry that often, mainly cause they are a little small and i can’t stuff too much junk into it.

so there you have it. all the bags that i have. about 10 of them all. well if you ask me, i definitely want to add some more to this collection, but i foresee myself getting a good lecture from my conscience if i continue to splurge on unnecessary wants (recession!! recession!! there, the recession rant begins).
anyways, in case you’re wondering how do i store my bags, here’s an obvious clue:

and yes, you got it right. i hang my bags on a coat hanger. brilliant idea, eh?? it’s a space saver and you can hang multiple bags on one coat hanger. it gives you the opportunity to expand your handbag collection, too
so there you have it, my bag collection. maybe next time i’ll blog about the shoes i have. what say you?
to make ends meet
March 31, 2009
when you get hit by the financial crisis, and is struggling to live life to the fullest without even starving your tiny self, your hands have to get going.
after being idle for i don’t know how long, and after being a victim of the global economic tsunami, i am reopening my jewelry blog.
practically, i did not reopen it. i am merely reviving it, making it alive again. so let the words out. anyone looking out for custom made/handmade jewelry, please do not hesitate to pass the word around, that i am actually making them.
so here’s some pictures of my masterpieces:
thoughts, anybody?? please visit Ting Bijouterie for more information
cut
March 15, 2009
with the bad economic situation that has impacted the world, people around us are either retrenched, getting a pay cut, or at risk of being retrenched.
and that being said, with everyone struggling to make ends meet, any form of luxurious living had to be demolished. anything that is not a need shall not be entertained. any wants will have to be cast aside until the better days are back.
so i, too, joined the club and am struggling to cut down on anything that is unnecessary. i practically have to cut down on my gym. and by gym, i refer to walking around the shopping malls clacking away in my high heels. hey, you actually burn calories walking in high heels, okay, and not to mention it will probably injure your spine. dangerous activity i’m involving myself into.
but yeah, with the market come crashing down, i not only have to cut down on gym, i have to give up on being pretty. pedi mani is a huge definite block lettered NO, and buying beauty products makes me think thrice. buying new shoes had become a taboo, and getting new clothes is like doing crack. it’s almost like shopping had become a crime. well, not that bad of course, but when recession hits shore, anything to stop the shopaholic from doing what she does best is essential.

i came, i saw, but i am yet to conquer.
the price is, in my humble opinion, a little overrated. but i love the design.
DKNY Shopper w/ Scarf Tote
and, just in case you’re wondering, the answer is no (or not yet), i’m not getting it. in the near future?? i doubt so. i don’t crave for DKNY.
